I need to stop being dead and post. I owe you guys some dream descriptions too.

kirin're like a dragon with the gait/weighty balance of an ungulate! Makes it more imposing and majestic than a wyvern getting coiled on itself all over the floor, but yeah even those go with something/one. I'll be honest, I've "hated" gargoyles until only recently because of a manga character. I've seen hundreds of them in my life but still got caught up on the ugly Disney generalisation that doesn't match just how much variety there is. It's the ultimate bullshitting species, which will make settling on features that much harder, though I have an idea head-wise.
Gladion and Lily had raised issues for me already, and chimera is essentially where I was going. To make Aether Foundation A ProblemTM and Lusamine suitably dubious I was thinking majuu splicing with living things. Gladion would have been born human but his mother had majuu, uh, -ness, added to him. Obvious goal: make the perfect hybrid - if ningyou grant immortality to humans, and cambion are a thing, then crosses with humans are inevitably something happening. This was all background thoughts though, it would be a bit much to wedge it into the current Red-centric narrative. (I never said but I was also thinking Marnie could still be blood-related to Piers, but have a human parent that meant she's more like a selkie, no mermaid features but at risk of leaving to the sea and never coming back, or at least that's what folktales will say.)

Yes! Like a human leaf-cutter ant! Not the best simile but yeah Guzma is a mutt whose magic is underdeveloped but he can lift, he can smash, he can be found covered in moths lying perfectly still in his sleep, that's not creepy. I want it to be like the kahuna see some purpose to him being on Alola, but there's no obvious place for him, all they give him is oddjobs like that which make him act up.Cont. because I'm a silly fuck.
