>>47595394Before I take on Silph Co, I decide to train Drowzee because I have no counters to psychic types, and Sabrina's gym is coming up. The battles with Gary and Giovanni aren't worth mentioning on account of how easy the were. The last four gyms and the second to last rival battle are also a breeze.
Koga: Tag-teamed by Jörmungandr and Siegfried
Sabrina: Defeated by Kaa with some support from Chernobyl.
Blaine: Defeated by Arabasta with some pivotal support from Chernobyl (Arabasta would've died to a critical hit Fire Blast if it weren't for Chernobyl's Light Screen).
Giovanni: Brief Reflect set-up by Chernobyl and a subsequent Double Team spam and sweep from Arabasta.
Gary: Swept by Kaa after some brief set-up.
The next challenge I face is defeating the legendaries of the game (Mewtwo will be saved for the post-game, obviously). These battles were slightly more difficult than the gyms.
Zapdos: Chernobyl Thunder Waves Zapdos, set up screens, and gets some Thunderbolts off before needing to switch. Kaa finishes it off.
Articuno: Arabasta Double Team spams and kills.
Moltres: Siegfried almost dies taking it out with some Mega Kicks and Slashes.
The last two things I need to do are defeat the League and Mewtwo. I haven't had any deaths yet, and I'm hoping to keep that up.
>>47609911I don't know if Disable changed in that rom, but why swap anything for it? It seems lackluster in comparison to your other moves. That said, definitely swap out Night Shade. It's pretty ass. The only issue is that you're now relying on one attacking move that isn't even STAB
>>47609437Never played Renegade Platinum. Fighting an elite four member before the actually elite four is cool as fuck though
