>>29631577Ironically, 4chan is one of the few sites on the internet with actual, perfect spoiler tags that function across every browser.
Not the awkward and ungainly forum revealing buttons on Invision/other BB. (Surprise, one admin had mouseover avatars but awful button spoiler implementation)
Not the 'I had to make do by cutting 90% of the text from visibility' and hope that an extension which doesn't even support basic regex can autohide spoilers on tumblr
Not the 'you might be able to set text colour on IRC'
Not the nonexistent discord implementation
Not the awful 'it only works on desktop' reddit spoiler 'implementation'.
In addition to WebM support, 4chan's functional spoilers are the best and most modern features quality of life features on the internet, especially good for books (as no one can discuss a book without spoiling the plot) and to a lesser extent games.
With spoiler tag usage on not directly relevant conversation it's a clear litmus test for boards that aren't central like /a/ for example. /vp/ board and moderation culture is much more relaxed, like /ic/ or /gd/.
