>>13471314If you think about it Game Freak has to come up with literally hundreds of designs for Pokemon so it would make senes they have unused Pokemon concepts that become Pokemon for later generations. Pic related it's Gen 3 Gastrodon, which is alluded to in it's Pokedex entry which said in ancient times it used to have a rocky shell.
