>>20461963>>20462010Boomburst is just such a strange move, I can't tell what GameFreak is going to do with it next. It's SO powerful, with no drawbacks, hits all around in multibattles, and even has 10 base PP. They clearly seem to want it limited in distribution: of the many sound-wielding Pokemon only two learn it naturally (Noivern and Exploud) and then two more via breeding (Chatot and Swellow). Not even the famous songster Jigglypuff has gotten it (yet). The only reason I see any credence to the idea of Altaria picking it up is because of its prominent musical tendencies and, most importantly, that the move is already "in the family" and learned by multiple members of its Egg Group. Plus it would provide an extra buff that Altaria, even with all its new toys, would really appreciate.
Fuck if any of us can predict GameFreak. For all we know they'll make it a tutor and let Mr. Mime learn it.
