Maybe some people are tired of seeing Garchomp, Landoge, Smogonbird, Smogonfrog, Smogonwash, and charizard and friends all day every day. Mayve they wanna try out new mons they they never paid attention to. Personally, I'm totally ok with things like Luxray, Meowstic and Unfeazant getting some time in the light. Hell, I've even found ways to make Regigigas work in there. It's all about doing something different.
BTW, if you really wanna just use the best, then carry your punk ass up to ubers. My Xerneas and Zekrom will be waiting for you.
