1. The gas which keeps them in the air and that they use for defense is moving very quickly inside of them, tickling them as they let out small amounts at a time from their many orifices.
2. They take great pleasure in pouting the air around them, and more importantly enjoy greatly their destructive capability; each moment ticking away makes them giggle at the thought of allowing the pressure inside of them to expel all at once and cause horrible ruin to everything and anything in its vicinity. Sort of like a self-aware, floating, gas-spewing, explosive mine that enjoys its own existence intrinsically.
