Let me fucking educate you, uncultured SWINE. The Japanese people while not that religious nowadays still base their media on Shinto culture.
As early as generation 3 we the players have been presented with folklore related to what can only be described as creation myths. In Japanese creation mythology for example you have the kami Izanagi and Izanami who created Japan.
In Hoenn you have a similar dichotomy in Groundon (land bringer) and Kyogre (sea bringer).
In Sinnoh you have Dialga (time bringer) and Palkia (space bringer) in a similar fashion.
As for Arceus they got inspiration from the first three kami in Shinto mythology who came to be on their own AND from Pangu the primordial being in Taoism:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pangu>In the beginning, there was nothing and the universe was in a featureless, formless primordial state. This primordial state coalesced into a cosmic egg for about 18,000 years. Within it, the perfectly opposed principles of yin and yang became balanced and Pangu emerged (or woke up) from the egg. What does the pokedex entry for Arceus say?
>It is told in mythology that this Pokémon was born before the universe even existed.>It is said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world.Does that look remotely similar to you, uncultured SWINE?
And before you even bring Giratina go look at a taijitu and tell me the white and black pokemon aren't literally ying and yang. It's called hermeticism and it's present in both Shinto and Taoist cosmology.
>inb4 ahahaha umad religitard ololololo y so seriousshut the fuck up and grab a fucking book in your life instead of being proud of being terminally retarded
