Legendaries should be powerful shits who would be banned from standard competitive tournament as standard practice because they're fucking legendaries.

But, otherwise, yeah, I'd like to see even Rattata and Bidoof line brought up so they can make a guy with a metagross still keep a finger over those potions.

eh, gonna bump this thread with an idea originally planned as a "what if I made a new pokemon anime" since things seem kind of dead here. Spoilering for decency:

Set in a region based on the California South West. Cowboy and Western Stereotypes abound.

Main/focus character is a girl setting out on her pokemon journey to become a master. She wants to be the Batman of Pokemon and be the very best at everything though doesn't quite have a clue where to start besides taking on the gyms. Her primary mon is an Evee who eventually evolves into an Espeon..

Her traveling partners end up including the apprentice to the region's Pokemon Professor. She's also a well-known breeder and serves as the science-y exposition girl. Her primary mon is a Blissey.

Her second travelling companion is a bored rich kid whose turned to using his money and pokemon to commit thrill crimes across the region. He's ultimately a good guy and has been known to return stolen goods, most of which are works of art or valuable artifacts. He provides exposition on the criminal elements of the region. His primary moon is a Liepard.

Her final companion is the former regional league champion. Years ago he was caught in a scandal apparently using dangerous and harmful drugs to improve his pokemon and sabotaging his competitors. He denied he did any of it but has given up. Our heroine believes him though and comes to him for strategic advice, which he has plenty of. He doesn't have any pokemon as his were all taken from him and he's legally not allowed to be a trainer anymore.
