Just make its hair foilage more lifelike and the drum a bit more organic looking like each stump side is a different size. Which would also more closely emulate a drum set.
I can also excuse the drum set because several early gen mons carried pretty clearly manmade/inorganic stuff around like Hypno, Kadabra and Alakazam and some mid to newer gen ones like flabebe, floette, happiny who carries a rock shaped egg and Passimian who throws berries haul around organic stuff they like.
