I try, but thanks to Reborn and old Rejuvenation on intense, I can't see bad IVs on my mons without going ballistic.

That's fair, I just find it impossible to appreciate some of the few good things about Empire when the game generally is so painfully awful and cumbersome as you put it, especially as someone who tries to get everything done in a game.
