Comedy isn't just loud obnoxious shit in your face and pop culture references all the time, it requires timing, creativity, subversion of expectations, wit, etc. Sapleaf for instance is a decent dark joke, but then you have shit like Funnedong or Substarr where the 'joke' is that they're a meme and a funny song that's now removed from that context and shoved into a different one with no rhyme or reason. The Brock teleporter was a good joke, but then you have Snoop's gym which is "lol weed" or Freddie's gym which is "lol gay" (which also gets repeated by Darkholme's gym, repeating the same joke is bad and Clover does that a lot). Or even the Kanye ebola shit, who's finding that funny in 2020? Half the jokes in the game are references to often old 4chan culture and if you don't know/care about certain aspects of it you're not going to find it funny. I'm not saying throw soijaks in, literally the exact opposite in fact, but don't base a large chunk of your game in assuming your audience is very familiar with a now decades old site's history.
