I'm would really like to hunt for a shiny luvdisc in my original ruby cartridge, but of course the internal battery dried out a long time ago. Will this affect my hunt in any way? The reason I ask is because I know if copies of emerald have dead batteries it can mess with you rng or something.
I would really like to catch one through fishing encounters and then slowly transfer it up through each game getting as many ribbons as I can on it. Has anyone ever else ever tried this?
