There's nothing stupid about making a shit load of money by cashing in not only from the current Pokemon fandom (because let's face it, everyone would get butthurt at first because of the reappearance of Kanto, but still buy the games anyway) but also from those blinded by nostalgia (the ones who have only ever played the first games).
It's actually a fantastic idea, money wise. And let's face it, it's Pokemon. We'll take whatever Game Freak gives us.
