Pokemon like Spinda are good to draw because they have easy shapes and designs
Thus drawing Spindas is fun because it's easy and quick while also getting you to actually draw more often
One of the head artists/designers of Di Gi Charat said that Gema was his favorite character because ANYONE could easily draw him and I thought that was an incredibly good reason to like a character. In fact I pulled out paper right after I heard it and drew him right there and was surprised at how design accurate it was.
