the reason they're not in swsh is because it was a rushed game, from the beta they planned to keep all pokemon and megas but they didn't manage to finish in time i guess

it seems they planned to keep it just like megas, but something happened inbetween and they cut the pokemon. maybe for money, making us have to pay to get them back (dlc or next game). i'm pretty sure they wouldn't just outright cut the most popular pokemon (greninja) and gimmick (megas), especially with how much japan loves that frog.
