>>46212913generally agree, but some sugimori cards actually work pretty well. dark charizard, for instance, is a very solid illustration. not sure if it was drawn specifically for the TCG, but the way its framed (i.e. not being the entire pokemon perfectly centered in a featureless void) puts it way above almost all other sugimori cards.
