If Ash and Alain actually do face off one on one, which is how it's probably going to be, and he wins, that would place Ash's power at Elite Four level. I honestly don't see anyone at the Kalos League able to put up much of a fight at that point. It all comes down to when/if Ash defeats Alain.
Furthermore, Based Director doesn't do retarded ass pulls like with Tobias, reinforcing the fact that Ash will most likely, win the league.
