The safari zone is one of the scariest places imaginable to try to shiny hunt because any pokemon you run into there can just randomly flee.
Hatching without a foreign ditto to activate the masuda method would take a very long time unless you got very lucky because its 1/8192 chance with a lot of time inbetween hatches
The best methods on a single cart without cheating devices are soft resetting which is saving in front of a legendary/stationary on screen pokemon and encountering it over and over until its shiny
Or using repels to run into a certain pokemon in the wild over and over again until you run into that 1 pokemon shiny.
Some grass patches will make you run into multiple pokemon even with a repel so that takes awhile
I'd say if this is your first time shiny hunting soft reset for a shiny starter, or get a master ball and save it to soft reset on either groudon, rayquaza, or the 3 regis.
And whichever one you use the masterball on, if you want to soft reset on another shiny in your ruby game come back here and I will help you make a team to catch the other pokemon shiny without the masterball
I'd suggest masterballing shiny groudon first. That way all the other legendaries in the game are left open to you
>>20776039Atm just moltres. I was originally finishing the shiny regi trio with just regice but I thought I couldn't go after him with my current team so I decided to just try moltres for fun. Now that i've got a team ready for regice i'm going to finish moltres and start on him
Good idea though, might as well get both trios
