Ancestor of bird pokemon?
First Bird Pokemon!
How is it different from modern bird pokemon?
Instead of a beak, it has sharp theet and a strong tail.
Archen and Archeops do not have a beak on their mouths and a strong tail making them very different to modern bird pokemon.
As its thought to be the ancestor of all bird pokemon, Archen was classified as the "First Bird" pokemon.
Also, its body is very colorful so it ends up looking flashy alongside modern bird pokemon.
Could it fly?
Archen couldn't fly, Archeops could fly by making a run-up.
Archen couldn't fly, it jumped from tree branches to catch prey, it seems it could just glide.
Upon "EVOLVING" into Archeops some became able to fly.
But, its muscles to flap its wings were still weak, and seemed not enough to fly so it appears it had to sprint first.
Archen and Archeops's skelleton
There's no beak in the mouth area, it had theeth.
It probably had long tail bones.
(they seem to have their Ultra Sun entry)
(Archen is classified as Saikodori in japanese, "the oldest Bird")
