In double battles, Pokémon can merge their two attacks into one; a Fusion Spell. It's up to you to figure out all the possible combonations and see what works. It would use up PP for both Pokémon's moves. The amount of PP drained and the power of the spell depends on the combonation.
For example, Ember and Bone Club would be a weaker monotyped move that hits one Pokémon and drains less PP, whereas, say, Fire Blast and Earthquake does a large amount of damage, is daultyped(which means it will have an advantage against more types), and will drain a lot of PP.
This would probably be game breaking, considering that Fusion Spells are overpowered in the game they originate from.
