Dark Vileplume was massively powerful in its day and basically ruined the entire format

I'm not overly familiar with Pokemon TCG's past, but it seems pretty clear that the Gym-Rocket sets were a bad time to be into the TCG due to shit like Dark Vileplume, The Rocket's Trap, and Rocket's Sneak attack. The format must have been absolutely cancerous.
