The obvious thing those three have in common is that they’re all the most popular starters of their respective generation. The Tera typing seems to depend on the shillmon’s honorary typing, or what it can fuck up the most.
If we go with Charizard’s and Cinderace’s case, Decidueye will receive a Flying Tera due to the fact it’s a bird. If we go with Greninja’s case, Delphox will definitely get a Fairy Tera just to fuck with the poison and steel types using its true typing.
