The boy you see in openin, follows ash in final part is actually replace of clemont. Clemont battles ash in lumiose city gym but clembot explode after battle is over, clemont has to stay in gym so ash leave him. Then they meet young boy with treecko, he follows ash because he's his fan and sticks to the end of the series
