This is Trent. He and I are both aged 23, and we served together in the military/regional defense forces. He went in as Infantry, while I decided to join the Recon branch. These two styles of work developed a strong rivalry between us, as it usually creates an animosity between Scouts and Grunts. After a pretty brutal war, the nations of the world decided that enough was enough, and effectively banned war and military weaponry, in favor of trainer-style policing and diplomacy. After the military dissolved, we both took up Pokemon training. To strangers we would say that we mean to keep protecting and serving our region, but really we just wanted to continue our competition, and we honestly didn't have anything better to do post-war. He prefers Steel and Fighting types while I run Flying and speed-based pokemon. Over time our rivalry becomes more of a friendly competition as we race to become the Champion, and end up working together to defeat any evil Teams that spring up in our region.
