I replayed XY somewhat recently it was very obvious it was rushed, but it was more interesting how completely inconsequential shit got assets and other imporant things didn't. The team flare scientists were deemed important enough to get full-sized 3D models and I doubt fucking any of you remember who they are without looking them up, except maybe Xerosic. There were also 'Team Flare Admins' that got models and they're generic NPCs. Meanwhile, the fucking gym leaders, E4, and ""champion"" (lol Dianthia) just get a picture.
I genuinely think they got stuck making the 3D work and had to cobble together the game from what they had in the last months or even weeks.. We're not going to see shit about aliens because none of that was ever made, unless someone can find the planning documents. Only way I see XYsider being confirmed is looking for things that could be changed late in dev, like Water/Dragon female only Goodra.
