>>36663009They've been calling everything "Legendary" for quite some time outside of Japan until the term Mythical was adapted worldwide when most people were used to calling Mew and the like Legendary (or more accurately, Event Legendary) and had to adjust to the fact, and now people are trying to "prevent" themselves from making that same mistake with the Ultra Beasts just because they're marketed as not being Legendaries despite the ingame coding and Pokedex's coloration for UBs stating otherwise.
Of course, I'm sure when Pokemon 2019's Upper Versions come they'll just be referred to as dime-a-dozen Legendaries since they're obviously not going to be making more, thus there's no reason to continue marketing them as a wholly different species classification altogether, and unlike SM and USUM they'll probably be limited to one per game rather than a small amount or an infinite amount.
