2D is nuanced more than its flawed and some girls think if they don't look exactly like that, they can't compete. The reality is that some guys have a range of preferences and some guys can fap to 2D and 3D with their select list of put-offs.
It could just be that said guy isn't into the girl bitching about not competing with 2D because she has a list of dealbreakers in addition to a shitty attitude or that girl simply isn't the guy's type.
There are some women who are attractive who are a bit flawed, but some flaws are more endearing than off-putting in the eye of the beholder. A lot of women rarely hear this though much less are appreciated for it, so the natural assumption is that they can't compete with fiction because guys can be more vocal about that.
Alternatively, it could be that guys are looking for someone and the girl getting jealous isn't that person so the 2D one is a proxy for their ideal woman.
