Hell, most of us don't bother replaying the modern generations because there's nothing keeping us coming back.
Even on /v/ there are STILL Risk of Rain and Overwatch threads, while all we mostly do now is talk about waifus and bitching about how bad gen 7 was.
What I'm saying is there's a reason people was the Battle Facility- Even Contests back. Without that replayability, all gen 7 is is a mixed experience that many people aren't to keen on returning to.
