>>37956760It's foolish to do so with an IP you won't have any property on. Cost/Benefit of doing so is too low for fans to make such game. Besides Nintendo is known for being trigger happy on any promising projects that use their IPs.
It's smarter to do so by making a sort of fangame that screams Pokemon all over the place but without mention it. More or less like Temtem or like Undertale was for Earthbound.
And the more Game Freak gets lazy the more open is that business opportunity. Who knows? Maybe someone ends up making a Pokemon killer for real.
