>>43981153The story was crap, but the interactions between trainers from different regions were part of the appeal. The DLC improved the map design (even though it still needs to be polished). And USUM were objectively one of the hardest games in the franchise (even tho not exactly the hardest thing ever, but hard for Pokémon parameters) and one of the best Pokéon distribution for a region. It's like you can take added elements for each of these games to make something better and more enjoyable for everyone.
The thing is, I really don't think anyone would botter to do anything that good in this series because of how they can't take its own older fans too seriously, but I do imagine if they're capable of making me hope for better games in this franchise. Make me feel the hype I felt when BW and XY were announced or when I entered the battle frontier for the first time. I miss those sensations, anon.
