>>56318664Next gen fics are easy to do if you include the main cast to some degree early on. A big issue with next gen is that the new gen is too perfect and fail to undergo the growth that their parents/previous gen did in order to have their power levels equal, or that the new gen is simply carbon copies of the old. It's a thin line to toe of being new but familiar.
I've got the outline for a next gen series which is about Naruto's daughter (OC) and has her be weak for the first 1/3 of the series.
In the same way I've got the "next gen" anime series that doesn't focus on Ashs daughter but a young girl who winds up meeting and being inspired by him (but doesn't travel with him) and doing her journey her own way while Ash and friends do things off in the background.
