I don't miss it because although I've been playing competitively since gen 3, I can keep that separate from in-game. I used Pachirisu, Muk, Steelix and Dunsparce in Black 2 and had a lot of fun. Pic related, a fun team I had in Leaf Green. Ninetales (which is garbage in gen 3 to begin with) had a Brave nature, 3 Fire moves and Quick Attack, Raticate 3 Normal moves, Marowak 2 Ground and 2 normal moves and all of them have subpar natures. Learning about competitive battling, EVs, IVs and so on had no impact on my enjoyment of the games because I'm not an autistic faggot who needs to minmax everything in a casual playthrough.
