>>21833073Look, i'm not someone who's just randomly hating on ORAS for no reason. But i would like to hear exactly why you think ORAS is so superior to X/Y when, in reality, they parallel each other nearly perfectly.
>Some of the easiest pokemon games>Constant handholding>Same technical hiccups>Little to no Post-GameIf anything, X/Y did way more for the franchise itself. Lets see what they introduced into the franchise:
>Switch to 3D environment>Character Customization>Mega Evolution>New Type>RSS (and all its features)>Pokemon Amie>Super TrainingI could technically add all those little useless features like the PR videos, Holocaster and others because they are technically additions to the game, but since they pale in comparison to those listed, i decided not to.
What did ORAS add to be so superior to X/Y?
For starters, it removed Customization. Now onto the new:
>Dexnav (and its functions)>Hell, lets count Pokemon Sneaking as a separate to fatten the listIf you want me to count SOARING as an addition, i might as well add the Holocauster onto X/Y's. That ain't happening.
Just face it. Everyone started hating on X/Y because it was the cool thing to do.
Finding it ok-good was the way to go. 7-8.5/10 is a fair score. Praising ORAS is motherly syndrome kicking in.
It doesn't fix X/Y's mistakes and doesn't add enough to distinguish itself from XY or to compensate a new purchase. 6-7/10 is the best you can get.Notice these aren't bad scores. They are based on (what the game brings to the table) - (its shortcomings). I just cannot see how someone rational could consider ORAS great if they found X/Y dissapointing.
