i hate this insistence people have on using only the more popular or "objectively good" pokemon of a type
like, fire, thinking about it some there's some silly stuff you can work around with using the type
you have bulkier pokemon like turtonator, coalossal, or you can just say "fuck it" towards normal conventions of building a pokemon and leverage quirks about a mon in a different way, like bulky talonflame or stall salazzle
armarogue and ceruledge dual ace! scovillain ace dual type fire and grass gym! zen mode galarian darmanitan wildcard! mega camerupt under trick room!
i apologize for the mildly autistic rant but gym leaders aren't meant to just be every objectively good pokemon ever slapped into a team with minimal synergy or whatever. you're making a fangame/romack, you can put your brain together and be creative! they can use more gimmicky shit, embodying a different kind of challenge for you to overcome than just... a boringly strong team. they can be a little shitty if it's a fun shitty!
