While there weren't any hard counters to it, there were some soft counters (Mandi) and plenty of strong checks. People simply didn't want to adapt to it. Haunter was absolutely right.
3. Smogon doesn't owe anything to anybody. If something illegal happened, the staff only has the obligation to report things to the police, and releasing details to the public can compromise an investigation. Not that it matters, because at the end of the day Haunter is a fucking ocean away from his alleged victims and couldn't have done anything even if he wanted to.
