Trying to make covers for Chapter 9 proved to be a challenge. For those not familiar, Novel does not like it when multiple characters are involved in a single set of prompts, and I learned that the hard way.
The main thing was wanting to include both Silvally and the 'Mock Squirtle.' This was before I decided on having Lana in the role, and unfortunately the Pokemon didn't have a lot of source images to work off of.
The left image is perhaps the weirdest of the bunch. You have Silvally in the background, and then what can only be described as a Fakemon in Lillie's hand. It does look pretty cool, though, and could pass off as the first stage of some Steel-type evolution line.
The middle image had its fair share of problems. Lillie's dress was taking far too many cues from her traditional outfit, and wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Not to say it doesn't look nice, however. What wasn't nice was the fact that the Silvally is teeny-tiny and barely recognizable. No Squirtle was generated, which struck this down hard.
The right image was middle of the road. Lillie's outfit was passable, as was the Silvally. The Squirtle was the iffy thing, and ultimately I turned it down.
Which of these is your favorite? Would you have tried going with any of these?
