who have probably all experienced what it's like to be on the wrong end of
power in our lives, that when you give us a little power (and I use the term
"us" loosely because I think the character of the average user is stronger than
the character of the average moderator) but anyway, when you give them power,
suddenly they forget all about what it's like to be picked upon and what it's
like to be on the wrong end of power, they forget about all that, and they just
turn into bullies. They just turn into everything that they despise in other
people and this kind of goes back to humanity's inability to cope with power.
We can't handle it. The best we can do is not abuse it too much, a little abuse
is inevitable, but, I don't know, to close this out I would just say yeah we
need new moderators, and not even because I was being banned, but because, you
know, I've seen the users stagnate over time and I've seen the character of
showderp stagnate. I've just seen the room stagnate overall under this
moderation team and I want that to change. I want showderp to have a future.
