Personally one of my favorite episodes is. "The Water Flowers of Cerulean City." Ash had one his first serious gym battles, even thought it was interrupted midway and was unfinished. One of my favorite lines from Ash's battle with Misty was:
*Butterfree vs Staryu
Ash: In that case Stun Spore Now!
*Staryu Paralyzed
Misty: Oh no Staryu looks like it's in real pain!
Ash:It doesn't even have a face how can you tell!?
Misty: Because I'm sensitive to others feelings!
Ash: Oh yeah like I'm not...
Also I really liked Misty's Sisters voices for some reason. It was weird casting on 4kids part but I find it worked really well.
