TLDR I fucking killed my own Bayleef.
right before Ecruteak City in the remakes, there are a new pair of beauties who weren't in the original and challenge you to a double battle. I had Bayleef setting up Reflect to increase my teams physical defense and Geodude using Magnitude. my plan was working perfectly until Geodude got a Critical Hit on Bayleef. this is probably the stupidest death in my recent run attempts.
