>>37597368That's the problem. There is no characterization of any gym leaders to the point where her own sister has to explain who she is without the actual character doing it. And those two episodes had nothing to do with Ramos, the gym was to teach Ash patience nothing about Ramos himself, and everyone does stuff outside the gym but nothing worth mentioning.
Again, trying to mention Clement is like giving yourself a broken handicap when he is a companion for all 100+ episodes. That's already admitting all the XY gym leaders are terribly dull and scraps for Ash to beat.
SM battles aren't flashy but it gets the job done. XY has flashy battles but they are just worthless entertainment. You mind as well watch Bleach or another shonen anime with better animation.
