Only when I was like 8 or 9 when LG came out do I remember beating the E4 for the first time in a Kanto game. Incidentally, it was also the first time I had someone to trade Pokemon with, a cousin, so it was the first time I was ever able to use a trade evolution before.
Besides Pidgeot, all of these mons still have a special place in my heart and are some of my favorites of all time.
