I mean, music is usually pretty good but it's really hard for me to pick out any specific fight where the music stuck with me that hard.
On the story end though, they've done that in many ways. BW had the gym leaders being more active in the stories of their towns, and Norman being the player's father was a big deal. But none of those instances really stood out in the end. All I really remember of Norman's gym was how annoying the gimmick of it was with the room choosing thing because I'm autistic about beating every trainer in a gym before fighting the leader.
I don't know if the cutscenes will really help make the fights more memorable yet, but it's at least something new and I want to see how it works.
