>>49563215I've been playing Pokémon since Emerald and I played every single title in the series except that I avoided Gen 1 games (RBGY, FRLG) until USUM came out. Kanto's arc seems too normal and uneventful, and the Kantomons have been forced down my throat for almost every other region that having a full team consisting of only those didn't seem too interesting. I was so wrong about Kanto.
>region is so full of small details about the world>mons feel like actual monsters/animals you'd find in the wild, not cartoons>the "friendship" aspect of the games wasn't too shoehorned yet>it's got one of the most memorable soundtracksI still don't think Gen 1 is the best region, but it's pretty high up there.
