Lusamine telling it like it is
>I don't care if you are my child or not!
child = starter
>I don't care if you were loyal to me or not!
>I don't care if you're the rarest Pokémon there is in the world or not!
>If you're not beautiful enough to be worthy of my love, then I don't NEED you!
Substitute beautiful with viable, depending on what type of player you are.
>Terrible? Me? How am I different from any Pokémon Trainer, like your little "friend" there? What do you do with a Pokémon you can't use? You remove it from your party, as you please.
She pulled a "we're not so different, you and I" villain monologue and not only is she correct, but all of the shenanigans she got up to in Sun/Moon were arguably less ethically questionable than the incestuous eugenics of breeding or the implications of constant abuse that the mega dex entries suggest. Her whole crime was that she's abandoning her kids with nothing but a permanent home, caretakers in Wicke/Faba and a ridiculous amount of wealth to their name, while players are encouraged to release infantile freshly hatched rejects en mass because the boxes can only contain a few basic breeding projects before they fill up.
