Excessive catching can level up your Pokemon fast, but I worked with a rotating team to combat this -- just going by trainer battles and gyms maintains a fair challenge.
Doing mono-Ice with Alolan Sandslash (ph), Dewgong (sp), Jynx (sp), Cloyster (sp), and going to try and catch a physical Lapras next.
