Fucking mega evolutions making it so using weak pokemon isn't that hard in-game
There's screenshots of people getting into the hall of fame with Rattatas or Magikarp. You don't need a powerboost for fucking in-game playthroughs. You literally have a buffed EXP share and Pokemon amie effects like surviving other wise fatal blows or auto status healing.
Megas were a mistake.
