>>45892475>>45900725Thanks for the suggestions. I've been experimenting and trying to find which program I like the most. Once I make a template I like working with, then I can import a full script dump and everything will be easier from there.
This isn't my first time translating, but I've never done anything as big as an entire game's script. Don't expect anything mindblowing.
I think BW's English translation is more or less accurate, if not a bit too wordy for my taste.(Japanese's best trait is being able to express a large amount of information in a shorter word count than English.) The only real thing you've been missing out on that I can think of off the top of my head, besides a few mostly inconsequential details (things like a heavier implication that Zekrom/Reshiram were dead when they became stones) and the odd case of censorship is the alteration of wording that makes it clear N's visions of the future are phrased in a way where they're likely literal. (Also the time when N freaks out in Mistralton and says a word I can only describe as "hooman". I'm sad the official release missed that one.)
You shouldn't expect an overall game experience drastically different from the one you've already had, this is mostly just a training exercise written in a different author's style.
If you're still down for that, see you in the next 20 years.
