The absolute most important element of the games for me and the prime reason I love SM.
Regardless of everything else, it has a high ratio of my absolute favorite designs, and it feels awful to go back to games that don't have stuff like Buzzwole or Golisopod in them.
The game could be an amazing game with all six regions, a supersized battle frontier or whatever it is people want, and a optional story that had writing to rival the best RPGs to ever exist, and it would still be a shitty game to me if the Pokemon designs were ones I didn't like.
They are the main reason I continue to buy the games and SM, regardless of the flaws it has, has a ton of amazing designs, some that I have been wondering when they would happen for many, many years.
It's a dream come true for the designs, and that's why it's one of my favorite Pokemon games.
