>>22064336There's actually a lot of side stuff you can do that I just somehow never noticed.
First sidequest is obviously get that briefcase for the Scientist. Wander through a dimly lit building, get it, he gives you a page for the storybook (forgot to mention there's a storybook that you find missing pages for; this gives me five pages for it so far. Every time you find a page the "story" you can explore gains an Eeveelution who tells you their level-up moves and gives you an item like a TM.)
The second one is a lot more complex. A chamber in North Star (the cave that freezes you if you take too long in it) can now be gotten to since we have Strength, but you can only walk a few feet before you freeze in that chamber even with your Woolly Hat (the item that slows down the rate of freezing). To get through the cave you need to go back to the Capital, where the Dept. Store has finally been finished. In it, you witness someone stealing a sweater. Fight them, take their sweater, don't give it back to the guy who lost it. You can use it to get through the extra chamber (though you still quickly freeze so you have to run through).
At the end of the chamber is the third Elemental Orb. Its Guardian has Raticate/Magmar/Ampharos/Omastar/Aerodactyl, Aero at Lv. 55. Upon grabbing the Orb, there's a shake and another section of the cave opens up revealing Articuno, allowing us to catch it.
I also found that after getting the fifth page, I received a Key from the Espeon in the book (it's a magic book). Said key lets you enter a man's basement in Yellowleaf, revealing a large cavern filled with fossil Pokémon.
The man goes in with you and nopes the fuck out when he sees an Aerodactyl. If you chase the Aerodactyl, you track it to a dead-end where a Moltres catches you both by surprise.
Still images cannot put it into words so here's a video:

Comment too long.
